September 18, 2025 – Vessel Departed Shanghai

September 28, 2025 – Transshipment at Colombo
Update to customer: “Vessel arrived Colombo, Sri Lanka today. Container discharged and awaiting connection to feeder vessel. No delays. Feeder vessel MV KOTA CEMPAKA scheduled to depart October 2. ETA Dar es Salaam still October 20.”
October 15, 2025 – 5 Days Before Arrival
Update to customer: “Vessel approaching Dar es Salaam. Current position: off the coast of Mombasa. We recommend you confirm with your clearing agent that all documents are ready: original Bill of Lading (we couriered via DHL – tracking number xxxx), PVoC certificate (already emailed), commercial invoice, packing list, IDF receipt, and KRA PIN (if Tanzania? no, Tanzania uses TIN – you confirmed you have TIN and TRA registration? Please reconfirm).”
Customer response: “Yes, TIN is active and my clearing agent has everything. Waiting for original B/L.”
October 20, 2025 – Vessel Arrival & Berthing
Update to customer: “MSC ALICANTE has arrived at Dar es Salaam port and is berthing at terminal 2. Container RR‑2409‑EA will be discharged within 24 hours. Clearing agent can now lodge Customs Entry.”
October 21, 2025 – Container Discharged & Customs Entry Lodged
Update to customer: “Container discharged yesterday evening. Your clearing agent ‘Tanzania Clearers Ltd’ has lodged Form C52 (customs entry). Status: ‘Document Verification in Progress’. We have sent them the original Bill of Lading (received today) via port handover. No duties because excavator qualifies as capital goods under EAC CET? Actually Tanzania follows EAC Common External Tariff: excavator HS 8429 – import duty 0% for capital goods. IDF fee 2.5% of CIF, RDL 2%, VAT 18%. We have advised agent to pay correctly.”
October 23, 2025 – Customs Inspection Requested
Update to customer: “Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has flagged container RR‑2409‑EA for physical inspection. This is routine for used machinery. Inspection scheduled for October 25. Please advise your agent to be present.”
